Hi all,
If you are listening to Radio Scotland tonight from about 8pm you may hear
some ringing.
Vic and Bryon's Big Scottish Adventure is a (fairly tongue-in-cheek)
programme where the two heroes (?) travel around Scotland for six weeks in a
caravan sampling some of the more unusual Scottish activities. And
bellringing is one of them.
Clyde Wallbanks gives one of the boys a ringing lesson at St Mary's Glasgow
and he has a go at some assisted rounds on 6. Be warned that the
double-entrendre count is quite high!
We understand that the bellringing segment is going out tonight, but don't
blame me if it isn't - the programme runs for the next 6 weeks.
BBC Radio Scotland Fri 28 Jul, 20:05 - 22:00
Also, if you are in Aberdeen, please keep a lookout for a feature on young
ringers in the Granite City. I am not sure which newspaper(s) might pick up
this agency piece, but if you do happen to see it, please forward me a link
or set aside a clipping for our files. Well done to you guys, the reporter
I spoke to this morning sounded quite enthused.
I'm off on holiday for a couple of weeks, so sorry I won't see you all in
Inveraray, but have a great weekend, and keep me posted on what happens...
Cheers,
Tina Stoecklin
