Hi All,

Here are the details of the SACR Training Weekend that you have been
eagerly awaiting. Many thanks to Ruth Perrett for taking on the
organisation of the weekend at such short notice.

You should find attached two Word documents - the provisional programme
for the weekend and an application form. Please would you, as tower
contact, print out sufficient copies and/or forward them on to those in
your tower.

This is great opportunity for participants to have a fun weekend and
progress their ringing at the same time - plenty of ringing and other
sessions will be happening and of course lots of socialising too!

We are asking people to return their applications to Ruth by Mon 13th
February. Please would you do what you can to collect forms from your
tower and return them by then? We do realise that it is quite short
notice, for reasons that I am sure you understand with the resignation of
the Ringing Master. If it is too short notice and there is a delay in
returning any forms, a brief email or telephone call to indicate those who
may attend would be a great help. Once the forms are returned we will
finalise the programme and allocate tutors. A lot depends on getting
enough support from both students and helpers, so please encourage as many
as possible to attend.

Some people have indicated that they would only be able to come on the
Saturday. If they cannot attend the whole weekend, this is fine although
they will miss out on a lot of the training and a good deal of the
socialising! The cost will be the same whether they attend for just the
day or the whole weekend; a large part of it will go as a donation towards
the Aberdeen towers. Some ringers have offered accommodation for the
weekend - please indicate on the form if you would like more information
about this.
